SPOKANE, WA – Spokane Police officers have arrested a suspect and recovered several firearms following a burglary reported in northwest Spokane earlier this week.
According to the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to the 5100 block of West Bismark in the early morning hours of September 1, 2025, after suspects broke into a vehicle and used a stolen garage door opener to access a residence. Multiple firearms were taken from the garage during the burglary.
A canvass of the neighborhood led officers to security video showing two suspects and a silver Chevy Impala linked to the crime. The following day, September 2, patrol officers located the Impala parked outside a residence near 1500 North Lincoln. One of the men seen in the video was later identified as 30-year-old Eric R. Peery.
Due to the nature of the crime, the home was surrounded, and Spokane Police SWAT officers were called in to assist. A search warrant was obtained, leading to the recovery of several of the stolen firearms.
Detectives with the Special Investigations Unit developed probable cause to arrest Peery, who was booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of Residential Burglary, Theft of a Firearm from a Building, Vehicle Prowling, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the Second Degree.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to search for a second suspect in the burglary.
