LEWISTON, ID – The Nez Perce County Courthouse was evacuated Thursday morning following a bomb threat delivered by an automated phone message.
According to the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, the call was received at about 10:35 a.m. on September 4. Deputies, along with officers from the Lewiston Police Department, responded and conducted a search of the courthouse. No explosives or suspicious devices were found.
The building was cleared for reentry, and business operations resumed at approximately 11:35 a.m. Authorities say the case remains under investigation by Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Detectives.
