BURLEY, ID – A 30-year-old Burley man died Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash north of Malta, according to Idaho State Police.

The crash occurred at 9:53 p.m. on State Highway 81 near milepost 8. Police said the man was driving a green 1997 Toyota Tacoma northbound when he overcorrected, went off the left shoulder, and rolled the vehicle.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene, ISP reported.

The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office and Malta Ambulance assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
