WATCH: Idaho Fish and Game Urges Public to Report Poaching

BOISE, ID – As fall hunting season continues, Idaho Fish and Game is asking residents to report suspected poaching through the Citizens Against Poaching (CAP) hotline at (800) 632-5999 or online. Reports can be made anonymously at any time.

Officials say license plate numbers, vehicle descriptions, and exact locations are especially helpful. Callers whose tips lead to citations may be eligible for cash rewards ranging from $250 to $700, depending on the violation.

Interim Chief of Enforcement Joey Ishida said public assistance is vital: “We can’t be everywhere at once, so we need help protecting Idaho’s fish and wildlife.”

Over the last five years, CAP has averaged more than 1,400 calls annually, resulting in about 100 citations each year.
