CLARKSTON, WA – TriState Health is inviting the Lewis-Clark Valley community to take part in its new Let Pink Shine campaign this October, an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage preventative screenings, and show support for survivors and their families.

The campaign kicks off Wednesday, October 1, with a Pink Lighting Ceremony at the TriState Women’s Imaging Center on Highland Avenue in Clarkston. From 5 to 7 p.m., the public is welcome to attend an evening of speakers, local vendors, and refreshments. At dusk, the highlight of the evening will be the lighting of the TriState Health campus in pink—a symbol of hope, unity, and remembrance for those affected by cancer.

As part of the broader effort, the City of Lewiston will decorate Main Street with pink ribbons to demonstrate valley-wide support. In addition, the TriState Health Foundation will sell pink porch light bulbs throughout September and October. Community members and local businesses are encouraged to display the bulbs as a visible show of solidarity. The bulbs are available online at tsh.org/let-pink-shine .

“We encourage all women to prioritize their health by scheduling their annual mammograms,” said Wendy Stirnkorb, Senior Director of Ancillary Services at TriState Health. “Early detection saves lives, and events like this are a reminder of how powerful our community can be when we come together”.

TriState Health, which has served the region since 1955, continues to be recognized for its community care and remains the largest employer in Asotin County. Organizers say the Let Pink Shine campaign is one more way to emphasize the importance of proactive health screenings while uniting the Lewis-Clark Valley in support of breast cancer awareness.
