Probation Check in Clearwater Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

CLEARWATER, ID – The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a Clearwater man following a probation compliance check on Friday, September 5.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Idaho County deputies assisted Idaho Probation & Parole officers during a routine compliance visit at a residence in Clearwater. During the check, officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the home. Deputies were requested to place the subject under arrest.

The individual, identified as 44-year-old Keegan Kosanke of Clearwater, was taken into custody. He faces charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and misdemeanor contempt of court.

The Sheriff’s Office said the arrest reflects its ongoing support of probation supervision efforts aimed at ensuring individuals comply with court-ordered conditions and protecting community safety.

Authorities emphasized that the charges are allegations at this stage, and all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
