POCATELLO, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash that left two people dead and a juvenile injured Wednesday night in Malad City.
The crash occurred at about 9:16 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the intersection of 700 North and 100 West.
According to ISP, a 2014 Ford Focus was traveling southbound on 100 West when it went off the roadway onto the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll and strike two unoccupied vehicles parked on the left shoulder, a 2016 Chevy Colorado and a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
The Ford was occupied by a 47-year-old man from Fielding, Utah, a 45-year-old woman from Tremonton, Utah, and a juvenile. The man and woman sustained critical injuries and were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital, where they later died.
The juvenile also sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. ISP said the juvenile was wearing a seatbelt.
Roads in the area were blocked for about three hours following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
