Radiant Realms Exhibit to Open at LC State’s Center for Arts & History

LEWISTON, ID — Lewis-Clark State College’s Center for Arts & History will open a new exhibition, Radiant Realms, on Friday, Oct. 3, with a public reception from 5–9 p.m. The opening coincides with the Lewiston Downtown Artwalk, and the exhibit will remain on display through Dec. 13. Admission is free and open to the public.

The exhibit showcases work from five Spokane-based contemporary artists: Gwyn Pevonka, Katie Frey, Heidi Barnett, Leah Yand, and Moeckel Studio. Their pieces explore landscapes, animals, and human expression through bold and abstract styles. “This exhibit highlights a dynamic group of artists who challenge traditional forms through expressive techniques and vibrant palettes,” said Kristi Brown, director of the Center for Arts & History. “Radiant Realms is a celebration of artistic energy, imagination, and storytelling that invites visitors to see the world through new lenses”.

Frey, Yand, and Moeckel Studio will attend the Oct. 3 opening and host live demonstrations, offering visitors a chance to interact directly with the artists. The reception will also feature live harp music by Mimi Perez, along with light refreshments and drinks.

The public will have another opportunity to experience the exhibit during Grape & Grain, a fundraising event scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10, from 6–9 p.m. at the Center. Artists Pevonka and Barnett will provide interactive demonstrations while guests enjoy local wine and craft beer tastings, live music, and a curated charcuterie spread. Proceeds support CAH programming and student opportunities at LC State. Tickets are available through the CAH website.

Callee Lasley, CAH’s program coordinator, said events like these are central to the gallery’s mission: “We’re thrilled to offer opportunities for the public to interact with the artists and experience their creative energy firsthand. Events like these are at the heart of what we do – connecting art, artists, and the community in meaningful ways”.

The Center for Arts & History is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. More information, including exhibit details and ticketing for Grape & Grain, is available on the Center’s website .
