KANSAS CITY, MO – All 2024-25 LC State programs earned NAIA Scholar Team honors for the fourth year in a row, announced by the national office as part of NAIA National Awards Day on Monday. The award recognizes teams that achieve a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
The Warrior Women’s Golf team led the department and ranked third in NAIA women’s golf with a 3.82 grade point average. Women’s cross county earned a cumulative mark of 3.72 and volleyball was third in the department at 3.69. Women’s outdoor track and field had a 3.68 GPA and women’s basketball wrapped up the top five LC State programs with a mark of 3.64.
Women’s indoor track and field excelled with a GPA of 3.63 and men’s tennis led all LC State men’s programs with a 3.57 grade point average. Men’s basketball had the second-best mark among men’s teams at 3.56, and women’s tennis held a 3.50. Men’s cross country finished the 2024-25 school year with a 3.40 GPA.
The LC State Dance team earned a 3.24 grade point average in its second season of competition, indoor men’s track and field held a 3.24 and men’s golf finished the year at 3.22. Men’s outdoor track and field earned a 3.17 and baseball finished 2024-25 with a 3.1.
2024-25 marks the second consecutive year that LC State teams had 15 teams eligible for NAIA Scholar Team distinction.
