LEWISTON, ID – A public town hall will be held at Lewiston High School on Tuesday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Idaho’s new $50 million voucher program, which directs tax dollars toward private school tuition. The event, hosted by Save Our Schools Idaho, is free and open to the public.
The discussion will be moderated by Alexis Morgan, Director of Public Policy for the Idaho PTA, and will feature panelists including Lewiston School District Superintendent Tim Sperber, Sacajawea Middle School teacher Lindsey Smith, and Leslie Baker, board chair of Moscow Charter School. Organizers say the forum offers residents an opportunity to hear directly from community leaders about how the program may affect local public schools.
