PULLMAN, WA – Washington State University has appointed Anne Mason as interim dean of its College of Nursing following the retirement of Mary Koithan.
Mason, who joined the college in 2002, has served as associate dean for academic affairs since 2020 and is a clinical-track professor. An alumna of the program, she holds nursing degrees from WSU and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado–Denver.
“Dr. Mason brings a wealth of industry and academic experience to this role,” said WSU Provost Chris Riley-Tillman. “She has a strong vision for the future of the college and a student-centered approach.”
The WSU College of Nursing graduates about 400 nurses each year, focusing on serving communities across Washington, including underserved areas.
