LC State Volleyball Jumps into NAIA Top 25 at No. 17

KANSAS CITY, MO – LC State Volleyball is back in the NAIA Top 25 for the first time since 2019 and made a big splash in its return at No. 17. The ranking is the highest for the program since the 2012 preseason poll, and the Warriors are one of three undefeated teams in the group.

LC State is 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Cascade Conference, which has proven to be the best in the NAIA this season with five teams in the top 25 and three more receiving votes. Eastern Oregon remained No. 1 in the NAIA and Corban (Ore.) moved up to No. 3. College of Idaho is No. 12, and Southern Oregon fell to No. 25. Walla Walla (Wash.), Northwest (Wash.) and Bushnell (Ore.) are all receiving votes. LC State is tied at No. 17 with Midland (Neb.) with 213 points received.

Since the previous poll the Warriors upset then-No. 19 Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech. LC State went on the road to defeat a strong Walla Walla team before a sweep of Warner Pacific (Ore.) at home.

The Warriors currently rank seventh in the NAIA in blocks per set at 2.58 with Karissa Lindner ranked fourth individually with 1.60 blocks per set. Juliauna Forgach Aguilar is fifth in the NAIA in kills per set (4.85) and points per set (5.40).

In the competitive CCC, the Warriors are second in blocks per set and third in service aces per set (2.08). Forgach Aguilar is second in the conference in kills per set and Lindner is second in blocks per set. Teagan Scott ranks second in the CCC in assists per set (8.64) and Ella Stosich is fourth in digs per set (3.92).

The last time LC State Volleyball appeared in the top 25 was 2019 when the Warriors checked in at No. 24.
