Elderly Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Coeur d’Alene Aggravated Battery

COEUR D’ALENE, ID – The Coeur d’Alene Police Department is investigating an aggravated battery that left an elderly woman with life-threatening injuries on the city’s east side.

According to police, officers responded around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, to a residence on East Skyline Drive after receiving a report of an unconscious female. Upon arrival, they found the woman severely injured and a significant amount of blood at the scene. She was transported by emergency medical personnel to Kootenai Health for treatment.

Investigators believe the victim was attacked sometime between noon on September 17 and 5:00 p.m. on September 18. Detectives processed the scene and continue to gather evidence.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Skyline Drive or Royal Anne Drive during that time to contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at (208) 769-2320.
