LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College will welcome former players, families, and the community for its annual Baseball Alumni Weekend, set for October 17–19.
The three-day event includes opportunities for alumni to reconnect and for the public to join in the celebration. Festivities begin October 17 with an alumni meet and greet sponsored by Realtor Chelsea Blewett of Refined Realty. The following day, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center will host a golf scramble as the weekend’s title sponsor.
On Sunday, October 19, the weekend wraps up with a community favorite — the Homerun Derby at Harris Field. The event begins at 9 a.m. and is free for spectators. Alumni and community members ages 18 and older can participate for a $20 fee, which includes five swings off a pitching machine to test their homerun power. Registration is required for those wishing to compete.
Youth ages seven and older can also take part by volunteering to retrieve baseballs in the outfield during breaks. Parents or guardians must complete a release form for youth participation.
