MOSCOW, ID – The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre will celebrate the completion of its $200,000 historic marquee restoration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, September 21, at 7:00 pm on Main Street in Moscow.
KPAC completed the preservation project with new custom cabinets, LED backlighting, running lights, and neon tubes that match the exact specifications from the building’s original construction. Major support came from Idaho Heritage Trust in conjunction with the National Parks Service, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, and Innovia Foundation.
The Moscow Chamber of Commerce will conduct the ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a free screening of Sunset Boulevard at 8:00 pm. KPAC Executive Director Colin Mannex will welcome guests and share a brief presentation on the evolution of Moscow’s celebrated Main Street building.
The ceremony and screening are open to all KPAC patrons and supporters. The event celebrates the restoration of one of Moscow’s most iconic downtown features.
