CORVALLIS, OR – LC State had four student-athletes earn Cascade Conference McDonald’s Players of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, after strong performances by men’s and women’s golf and volleyball. Taylor Mire and Luke West earned CCC Golfer of the Week honors thanks to a career week at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational while Taylor Boyce and Tegan Scott were voted Attacker and Setter of the Week, respectively, after a pair of LC State Volleyball victories.

TAYLOR BOYCE – VOLLEYBALL ATTACKER OF THE WEEK
Boyce had a standout weekend to lead the No. 17 LC State offense. The sophomore outside hitter notched a match-high 16 kills with a .480 attack percentage at The Evergreen State College (Wash.) and tallied a career-high 22 in five sets against (RV) Northwest (Wash.). She averaged 4.75 kills per set with a .310 attack percentage over the weekend to go with 10 digs.
This is the first weekly award for Boyce in her career.
TEAGAN SCOTT – VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Scott had a standout weekend to help LC State win both contests. The sophomore dished out 32 assists in three sets at Evergreen and filled up the stat sheet in a tight five-setter at Northwest. Scott notched a double-double with 46 assists and 14 digs against the Eagles and added two blocks and four kills. She averaged 9.75 assists and 2.50 digs per set.
This is the second weekly honor for Scott this season.
TAYLOR MIRE – WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Mire led the No. 25 Warrior women in just her second collegiate tournament with a three-round total of 5-over, 221. She carded a round of 1-under par to start the tournament in one of the most competitive fields in the NAIA. She tied for 14th overall at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational and helped the Warrior women finish sixth.
This is the first weekly honor of Mire’s career.
LUKE WEST – MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
West played the best tournament of his career at the competitive Northwest Iowa National Invitational last week. He carded a career-low round of 66 in round two that helped him finish tied for ninth at 6-under, 207. He helped the No. 19 Warriors place sixth as a team.
This is the first weekly honor of West’s career.
