LEWISTON, ID – Court documents show that a Clarkston man has been charged following an Idaho State Police investigation into alleged child exploitation.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Rayder H. Blankenship faces two counts of human sex trafficking of a child and two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16. The case stems from a joint investigation by Idaho State Police and the Lewiston Police Department, with the incident dating back to June 2025.
The documents say that detectives began looking into the case after a juvenile was reported missing from Nez Perce County earlier this year. Investigators say social media records and interviews led them to identify multiple suspects, including Blankenship.
Court filings indicate that Blankenship was linked to communications through Snapchat, where investigators allege he made repeated requests for sexual images and attempted to arrange in-person meetings with minors. Detectives reported that the content of the conversations included offers of money and gifts in exchange for sexual conduct.
Idaho State Police investigators stated that Blankenship was identified through social media records, photographs, and public documents, including his driver’s license and phone records. Law enforcement also noted his presence at a local demolition derby with his Scooby Doo themed car, which was referenced in online conversations.
Lewiston Police conducted a forensic interview with one of the victims this month, providing information that aligned with evidence already obtained in the case.
An arrest warrant was issued in Nez Perce County Court for Blankenship on Wednesday. He was arrested the same day and booked into the Asotin County Jail. He was later transferred to the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on a $750,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for October 8.
