PULLMAN, WA – The City of Pullman’s Outdoor Irrigation Season will end on September 30, 2025, as outlined in Pullman City Code.
Pullman City Code, Chapter 10B for Water Conservation defines the Outdoor Irrigation Season as June 1 through September 30 annually, unless otherwise declared by the Public Works Director or their designee. Outdoor irrigation is prohibited outside of this timeframe. Handheld watering is always permitted when an individual is present.
Outdoor Irrigation Season was established in 2023 to support responsible water usage and conservation as well as help to slow the depletion of the Grande Ronde Aquifer, the City’s sole drinking water supply source. Nearly one-third of the total water used each year in Pullman is attributable to outdoor use, primarily landscape irrigation. Additional information is available at www.pullman-wa.gov/conserve.
Thank you to Pullman residents for doing their best to conserve water during Outdoor Irrigation Season. Please email any questions about Outdoor Irrigation Season or City of Pullman Water Conservation initiatives to conservation@pullman-wa.gov.
