MOSCOW, ID – A 61-year-old Moscow man has been arrested for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine.
The case began earlier this month when Moscow Police were investigating Dale Smithee for reckless driving. Information from that investigation led officers to believe that Smithee was selling meth.
Moscow Police applied for an obtained a search warrant for his home which was executed on September 12th. According to court documents officers allegedly found about a half pound of meth, over 5,000 dollars in cash and digital scales inside Smithee’s home. He wasn’t at home during the bust. Smithee was later taken into custody on an arrest warrant.
He faces several drug charges including felonies for meth trafficking and possession of narcotics. Smithee was arraigned in Latah County Second District Court on Monday morning. He is set to be back in court next month.
