BOISE, ID – Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that investigators with his Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested a Bonneville County man last week on charges of alleged sexual exploitation of a child.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, 47-year-old Jason Roemmich of Idaho Falls was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He has been charged with 10 counts of possession of sexually exploitative material and is currently being held in the Bonneville County Jail.
“Every arrest we make is a step toward protecting Idaho children from exploitation,” Attorney General Labrador said. “I’m grateful for the hard work of our ICAC investigators and the partnerships we’ve built with law enforcement agencies across the state to protect children.”
The Idaho Falls Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest. Forensic analysis from the Pocatello Police Department was instrumental in building the case.
Authorities encourage anyone with information regarding child exploitation to contact local law enforcement, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
The ICAC Unit works alongside the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies dedicated to investigating and prosecuting individuals who use the internet to exploit children.
Officials noted that all charges are allegations, and Roemmich is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
