KOOSKIA, ID – According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were advised of an alleged incident in Idaho County on August 24, 2025. After an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued. On September 27, 2025, William Smith, 36, of Kooskia, was taken into custody.
Smith was arrested on a charge of felony lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 16.
The sheriff’s office emphasized its commitment to investigating crimes against children and maintaining public safety. Officials noted that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
