JEROME, ID – A woman died Tuesday night in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 93 north of Jerome, according to Idaho State Police.
The crash happened at 9:34 p.m. Sept. 30 near the intersection of U.S. 93 and East 200 North.
Investigators say a 2015 Ram 2500 pickup driven by a 56-year-old Jerome man was headed south with a 51-year-old male passenger. A 2022 Subaru Crosstrek driven by a 46-year-old Richfield woman was traveling north when the vehicles collided head-on.
The two men in the pickup were wearing seatbelts. The passenger was taken by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. The Subaru driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
Jerome Police Department, Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Jerome Rural Fire Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
