OROFINO, ID – The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office reports that a motorcycle pursuit late on the night of September 22 ended with the rider abandoning the vehicle and fleeing the area.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted a traffic stop around 11:37 p.m. near milepost 48 on U.S. Highway 12. The motorcyclist failed to yield and continued eastbound on Highway 12 toward Greer before turning north onto Highway 11. The chase continued until the suspect exited onto Carrot Ridge Road.

Deputies said the rider abandoned the motorcycle near the intersection of Highway 11 and Carrot Ridge Road and fled on foot. The operator has not been identified, and investigators are continuing to look into the case.
