TACOMA, WA – The Tacoma Police Department reported its largest narcotics seizure to date following an investigation into a trafficker traveling from California into Washington.
According to the department, the Special Investigations Unit conducted an interdiction in Lewis County after extensive surveillance. An adult male suspect was taken into custody without incident, and officers recovered 89 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, surpassing the unit’s previous record seizure of 83 pounds last year.
Related search warrants at multiple storage units uncovered 410 grams of cocaine, 166 grams of fentanyl powder, 33.5 grams of heroin, and a firearm.
The suspect was booked on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
