BOISE, ID — The University of Idaho and Boise Contemporary Theater (BCT) have launched the Ari Keever Trajectory Fellowship to honor the late actor and U of I alumna. The program supports emerging artists and was created in partnership with Trajectory Consulting and Solutions LLC.
The first fellow is Jacob McGaughey of Coeur d’Alene, a 2025 U of I Theatre Arts graduate. McGaughey will assist in directing BCT’s production of Eureka Day, running through Oct. 18, and perform in the theater’s fall season. The five-week fellowship includes a $6,000 award.
Keever, a U of I graduate who began her professional career with BCT, died in 2020 at age 29. Her family and supporters say the fellowship continues her legacy of creativity and inclusion.
“Ari’s positivity and personality uplifted others, which is why we are proud to be major supporters of this fellowship,” said U of I alumnus Daniel Haley, a funder of the program.
The fellowship is open to Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts students, lasting the length of a production cycle.
