Idaho’s VoteIdaho.gov Wins National Digital Innovation Award

BOISE, ID – The Idaho Secretary of State’s redesigned elections website, VoteIdaho.gov, has earned national recognition as a Project Winner in the 2025 Government Experience Awards. The awards, presented by the Center for Digital Government (CDG), highlight states, cities, counties, and agencies that deliver more accessible, equitable, and engaging digital services.

Secretary of State Phil McGrane said the award reflects Idaho’s ongoing efforts to make voting resources easier to use and understand. “Our goal with the redesign of VoteIdaho.gov was simple – to make voting information engaging, accessible, and easy to consume for all Idahoans,” McGrane said. “We’re continuing to build on the features that make the website stand out. I encourage all Idahoans to visit the site to easily register to vote, check and update your registration, view a sample ballot for the upcoming November election, find your polling place, and much more”.

The project was developed in partnership with Boise-based design firm Mitchell+Palmer.

CDG President Dustin Haisler praised this year’s honorees, saying, “Innovation in government works best when it combines the right technologies with experiences that people can trust.”

A total of 41 governments across the country were recognized in this year’s awards, which spotlight digital initiatives that improve how residents interact with government.

The Center for Digital Government is a national research and advisory institute focusing on technology policy and best practices in state and local government. VoteIdaho.gov and the full list of award winners are available online at voteidaho.gov and govtech.com .
