EVERETT, WA – A U.S. Postal Service employee was hospitalized Friday afternoon after being shot at the West Mall Place Apartments, according to the Everett Police Department.
Police say officers responded to the apartment complex around 12:50 p.m. after reports of a shooting. The victim, identified as a USPS postal worker, was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound. The extent of the worker’s injuries has not been released.
The suspect, described as a package delivery driver, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Authorities have not released the suspect’s name or what led to the shooting.
Everett Police confirmed there is no ongoing danger to the public, noting the investigation remains active. Additional details, including possible charges, are expected to be released as the case develops.
