LEWISTON, ID – On Saturday, the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of indecent behavior on the Snake River near Cottonwood Creek.
It was reported that a group of rafters had “flashed their genitals” and turned around and “mooned” passing boats, according to the Sheriff’s Office. One of the boats had children on board. Deputies responded to the area and contacted 9 individuals that were allgedly involved. All 9 received misdemeanor citations.
The Sheriff’s Office says people exposing themselves to boats on local rivers has been an increasing problem. “The Sheriff’s Office will have zero tolerance for this type of behavior and individuals continuing this behavior will be charged accordingly,” says a press release.
