SPOKANE, WA — Detectives with the Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Unit are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near the intersection of 600 South McClellan Street.

According to the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire just before 1 a.m. on October 12, 2025. Upon arrival, they discovered a man deceased inside a vehicle. Initial information indicates that an unidentified suspect approached the car on foot and opened fire on the victim before fleeing the scene.

As of Monday, the suspect had not been located, and investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
