LEWISTON, ID – A Lewiston man was arrested on Sunday after authorities say he damaged a vehicle and other property at a local residence.
According to police reports, in the early morning hours on Sunday, 42-year-old William R. Osler allegedly struck a car with his van. Video footage from security cameras reportedly confirmed the collision.
Police say Osler caused more than $1,000 in damage, including dents to the car’s front and rear doors on the driver’s side. A green trash bin was also knocked into the roadway.
A witness told police the incident was related to a personal dispute. Officers located the suspect vehicle later that day and observed damage consistent with the reported incidents.
Osler turned himself in on Sunday evening and was arrested for felony malicious injury to property. He was booked into the Nez Perce County Jail.
Osler appeared in court on Tuesday. Judge Karin Seubert released Osler without bail.
