Stinker Stores Launch Statewide ‘Stomp Out Hunger’ Campaign to Support The Idaho Foodbank

MERIDIAN, ID — Stinker Stores across Idaho have officially kicked off their annual “Stomp Out Hunger” campaign to support The Idaho Foodbank, running from October 17 through October 31.

The campaign, which began in 2010, invites customers at all Stinker Store locations to make a donation to help fight hunger in their local communities. Every dollar contributed goes directly to The Idaho Foodbank, which distributes food statewide through more than 400 partner agencies including schools, food pantries, senior centers, and shelters.

For every $5 donated, The Idaho Foodbank can provide up to 15 meals for Idahoans in need. To add incentive, Stinker Stores will match customer donations dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000. Each location is also competing to see which store can raise the most funds during the two-week campaign.

The Idaho Foodbank, established in 1984, is Idaho’s largest nonprofit food distributor, providing food for more than 21 million meals last fiscal year. Donations from the Stomp Out Hunger campaign help supply nutritious meals and support the organization’s efforts to promote healthy living and nutrition education across the state.

Those seeking food assistance can visit The Idaho Foodbank’s Food Locator tool at idahofoodbank.org.
