BOISE, ID — The Idaho Lottery’s annual holiday raffle is back for its nineteenth year, featuring not one but two guaranteed top prizes of $1 million each. Ticket sales for the 2025 Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle began early Tuesday morning, October 21, at 4 a.m. Mountain Time.
Each ticket costs $10, with only 500,000 available statewide. According to Idaho Lottery Director Andrew Arulanandam, players are encouraged to buy tickets early, as the raffle typically sells out quickly. “Players should get their tickets early because this popular game will sell out fast,” Arulanandam said. “We want to remind everyone this game features two, one-million-dollar top prizes. Last year, regrettably, one of those $1,000,000 prizes was never claimed.”
The 2024 raffle sold out by the first Friday of December, with winning numbers announced shortly after Christmas. One of the $1 million prizes from a ticket sold in Ada County went unclaimed.
In addition to the two $1 million top prizes, this year’s raffle also includes one $100,000 prize, one $50,000 prize, and more than 21,500 other cash prizes. New this year, players can also win $1,000 if they purchase one of the twenty 25,000th tickets—such as ticket numbers 025000, 050000, or 075000—or if their ticket is drawn during one of the first fifteen days of sales in the daily $1,000 prize drawings.
Winners of the $1,000 daily or milestone prizes must claim their winnings at the Idaho Lottery office in Boise. Those tickets will remain eligible for the larger prizes drawn at the end of the raffle.
The winning numbers for the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle will be announced on December 29, 2025, at 5:59 p.m. Mountain Time.
Since its inception in 1989, the Idaho Lottery has sold more than $6.2 billion in products, awarded nearly $4 billion in prizes, and contributed $1.348 billion to Idaho public schools and the state’s permanent building fund.
