AIRWAY HEIGHTS, WA – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is investigating a one-vehicle rollover crash that left three adults injured early Wednesday morning, one with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies, Airway Heights Police, and Cheney Police responded around 1 a.m. on October 22 to the intersection of West Hallett Road and South Mayflower Street. When first responders arrived, they found a 2004 Ford F-250 on its side after crashing into a home and causing significant structural damage.

Officials say the male driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, suffered possibly life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. A female passenger sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while a male passenger—believed to have been wearing his seatbelt—was treated and later released. A dog in the truck was also ejected and found deceased.
Investigators believe the driver was impaired and driving recklessly at the time of the crash. Deputies obtained a search warrant for a blood sample to determine the driver’s blood alcohol content.
Preliminary findings indicate the truck was traveling east on Hallett Road at a high rate of speed before leaving the north side of the roadway, overcorrecting, crossing both lanes, and rolling through a fence before striking the house.
The driver has not been charged at this time due to his injuries but could face felony vehicular assault charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit continues to investigate.
