Amazon Opens New Delivery Station in Pullman to Expand Rural Delivery Network

PULLMAN, WA — Amazon has opened a new 28,000-square-foot delivery station in Pullman, expanding same-day delivery service to communities across the Palouse region.

The facility, which began operating earlier this month, is part of a broader effort to improve delivery times in rural areas. It will serve as the final stop in the company’s distribution network, preparing and dispatching packages for customers in southeastern Washington and north-central Idaho.

According to Amazon, the Pullman station is one of several new facilities included in a $4 billion nationwide investment aimed at increasing access to faster deliveries in smaller communities. The site is expected to add several hundred jobs, including full- and part-time positions and contracts through Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner program.

Washington State Representative Mary Dye called the facility “a transformative investment” for the region, saying it will make essential goods more accessible to residents. Washington State University Vice Provost for Student Affairs Romando Nash said the addition is “a big win for students” who rely on timely deliveries.

The facility also positions Pullman as a logistics hub for the Palouse, potentially improving local supply routes for small businesses that sell through Amazon’s marketplace.

Amazon employs more than 92,000 workers across Washington and reports $349 billion in statewide investments since 2010.
