Teen Murder Suspect Captured in Pocatello After Blackfoot Homicide Investigation

BLACKFOOT, ID — A 16-year-old suspect wanted in connection with a homicide in Blackfoot has been taken into custody, according to the Blackfoot Police Department.

Police confirmed that Bobby G. Jackson was arrested in Pocatello around 2:30 a.m. Friday. Officials said there is no longer any danger to the public related to this incident.

The arrest followed a manhunt that began Thursday after officers responded to a report of a deceased individual on the south end of Blackfoot. Upon arrival, police confirmed the person was deceased, and detectives from the Bingham County Joint Detective Division launched a homicide investigation.

An arrest warrant for second-degree murder was issued for Jackson late Thursday night. Investigators said at the time they believed he had fled the Blackfoot area and urged residents to remain cautious.

Police have not released the name of the victim or additional details about the case, citing an active and ongoing investigation.
