MOSCOW, ID — Students, educators and families are invited to explore the world of science during Vandal Science Day, a free interactive event hosted by the University of Idaho College of Science from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Integrated Research and Innovation Center on the Moscow campus.
The event aims to inspire curiosity among middle and high school students by offering hands-on activities, lab tours and opportunities to learn directly from U of I faculty, researchers and students. Highlights include guided tours of research facilities — such as a video game design studio — along with science demonstrations, educational games and a knowledge competition featuring prizes.
New this year, attendees can also access a special all-day dining rate at The Eatery, the university’s on-campus dining hall. Organizers said students may attend individually, with their class or alongside family members. The event is free and open to the public.
Those interested in participating can register online or contact event organizer Amy Kingston for more information. A photo of fossils similar to those students may uncover during the fossil activity is available from the University of Idaho.
