Lewiston Police officers were first on scene and reported a fully involved structure fire with unknown occupancy. Fire crews arrived shortly after, conducted an aggressive attack, and searched the residence. During the search, firefighters located a dog inside the home, which they successfully revived at the scene.

According to Battalion Chief Erik Kelly, the main fire originated in the basement before extending to the first floor and attic space. Crews brought the fire under control and proceeded with overhaul operations to check for hotspots and fire extension.

The department responded with three structural engines, three ambulances, one fire investigator, and four chief officers — a total of 20 personnel.

No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported. Two residents were at work at the time of the fire and returned home upon notification. Estimated structural damage is approximately $150,000, with an additional $75,000 in lost contents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
