KANSAS CITY, MO – LC State Volleyball enters the final two weeks of the regular ranked No. 12 in the NAIA Top 25 after going 3-1 since the previous poll. The Warriors are 15-4 overall with a 12-4 record in the Cascade Conference, a group that landed six teams in the Top 25.
LC State defeated then-No. 18 Northwest (Wash.), Evergreen State (Wash.) and Warner Pacific (Ore.) but fell to (RV) Walla Walla (Wash.) in the last two weeks. The Warriors have a tough final stretch with contests against No. 5 Corban (Ore.), No. 20 Bushnell (Ore.), No. 18 College of Idaho and No. 2 Eastern Oregon to end the regular season.
The Warriors are second in the conference in digs per set (15.21) and Ella Stosich is third individually with 4.50 per set. Teagan Scott leads the Cascade in assists per set (8.70) and Karissa Lindner is second in blocks per set (1.39) which ranks eighth in the NAIA. Juliauna Forgach Aguilar ranks second in the CCC and sixth in the NAIA in kills per set (4.24) and Taylor Boyce is fifth (3.37) in the conference.
Around the CCC, EOU fell one spot to No. 2 after losses to (RV) Southern Oregon and Corban. Corban climbed three spots to No. 5 and LC State fell one spot to No. 12 as the third-highest ranked team in the conference. C of I moved up one spot to No. 18, Bushnell jumped three spots to No. 20 and Northwest fell three spots to No. 21. Walla Walla and Southern Oregon are each receiving votes.
