GRANGEVILLE, ID — An Idaho County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a Mountain Home woman late Wednesday night after a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 95 led to the discovery of drugs.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on October 29, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m. when a deputy stopped a blue Honda Fit traveling 20 miles per hour under the speed limit, impeding traffic. During the stop, the deputy detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a search.
The driver, identified as 47-year-old Kari Sinclair of Mountain Home, Idaho, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that the arrest reflects its ongoing commitment to maintaining traffic safety and addressing drug possession that endangers the public on Idaho County roadways. Authorities reminded the public that all charges are allegations, and individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
