OROFINO, ID – A 73-year-old Orofino woman was taken to a local hospital Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Michigan Avenue, according to the Idaho State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash at 6:04 p.m. on November 4. Investigators said a 71-year-old Orofino man was driving westbound in a gray Nissan Murano when his vehicle hit the pedestrian.
The driver remained at the scene and was fully cooperative with law enforcement, police said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
Officials are reminding drivers to stay alert for pedestrians as daylight hours grow shorter and winter driving conditions approach.
