AHSAHKA, ID – A 71-year-old Ahsahka woman was injured on November 9 after falling from a vehicle in the Black Rock Drive area, according to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, Medic-1, and Idaho State Police responded at 5:33 p.m. on Sunday and found that Leeann Callear had fallen from her 2005 Chevrolet Silverado while it was reversing, causing her right leg to become trapped under the front driver’s tire. Family members freed her prior to the arrival of law enforcement and brought her inside their home.
Callear was later transported to Clearwater Valley Hospital by Medic-1 with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported no further details and said the incident appears to have been accidental.
