Man Arrested After Crashing Vehicle During Police Pursuit in Pullman

PULLMAN, WA – Deputies with the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 45-year-old man following a vehicle pursuit on Tuesday morning, according to a media release from the sheriff’s office.

The pursuit began on Wawawai Road after deputies sought to investigate a suspect connected to a threatening and harassment incident reported the previous evening. The driver, later identified as David Pock of Fernwood, Idaho, failed to yield and fled at high speeds.

The pursuit continued into Pullman and several side streets before Pock crashed his vehicle near Trinity Lutheran Church on Lybecker Street. After the crash, he attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended a short distance away.

Pock was booked into the Whitman County Jail on charges of second-degree assault and felony eluding. The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
