KANSAS CITY, MO – Warrior Volleyball checked in at No. 18 in the final NAIA Top 25 of the regular season and has its sights set on the national tournament. LC State has put itself in a strong position for its first trip to the national tournament since 2011.
The Warriors wrapped up the regular season with a 15-8 record overall and 12-8 in Cascade Conference play. LC State tied for fourth in the CCC regular season standings after a 9-0 start to the season but fell to then-No. 21 Northwest (Wash.) in the CCC tournament.
NAIA Opening Round qualifiers and hosts will be announced on the NAIA’s YouTube page at 2 p.m. PT on Monday.
Around the Cascade Conference, Eastern Oregon returned to No. 1 overall and Corban (Ore.) held steady at No. 5. College of Idaho moved up two spots to No. 16, LC State fell to No. 18 and Bushnell (Ore.) is just behind at No. 19. Southern Oregon returned to the Top 25 at No. 24 to round out the six CCC teams in the rankings. Northwest and Walla Walla (Wash.) are receiving votes.
