PULLMAN, WA – The Fernwood, Idaho man accused of leading local law enforcement on Tuesday morning’s dangerous car chase into Pullman has an extensive criminal history.
45-year-old David Pock made his first appearance in Whitman County Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon. Pock was arrested for felony eluding and assault, and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license.
Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies say Pock was looking for his girlfriend when he went to a local home and threatened a couple with a bow and arrow and a lit flare. He allegedly led deputies and Pullman Police on a car chase in Pullman at speeds of 70 MPH on Stadium Way and up to 60 MPH on side streets. The chase ended when Pock crashed on Lybeceker Road on College Hill and then reportedly ran before being taken into custody.
Pock was placed on $100,000 bond by Judge Roger Sandberg. He is currently wanted on a felony warrant out of Benewah County in Idaho for unlawful possession of a firearm, drug possession, and injury to a child. Pock’s criminal history dates back to 205 and includes felony convictions for vehicular assault, eluding, and illegal possession of a firearm.
Pock is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday morning.
