Two Men in Southern Idaho Arrested for Alleged Child Sexual Exploitation

BOISE, ID — The Idaho Attorney General’s Office announced that two Idaho men were arrested last week on charges related to alleged child sexual exploitation following investigations by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit.

According to Attorney General Raúl Labrador, 46-year-old John McGraw of Idaho Falls was arrested on November 5 and charged with ten counts of possession of child sexual exploitation material. The Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Pocatello Police Department assisted with the arrest.

The following day, 61-year-old Lesley Marcum of Nampa was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child sexual exploitation material. The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance during that arrest.

“Two more arrests—from Idaho Falls to Nampa—prove our statewide partnerships are working,” Labrador said in a statement. “These coordinated efforts to remove threats from our communities are protecting Idaho families. The ICAC Unit and our partner agencies will not stop fighting to keep Idaho’s children safe from exploitation.”

The Attorney General’s Office encourages anyone with information about the exploitation of children to contact local law enforcement, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

The ICAC Unit works with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies through the Idaho ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to exploit children. Additional information and resources for parents and educators are available at ICACIdaho.org.

All charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
