PULLMAN, WA – The Community Action Center is inviting Whitman County businesses and organizations to participate in The Great Food Fight on the Palouse, a friendly food drive competition running November 12 through December 10, with the business collecting the most pounds of food crowned champion.
Businesses can register until November 19, with food donations accepted November 19 – December 10.
Collected nonperishable items will support CAC’s Community Food Bank, which served more than 400 children between July and October 2025 alone.
“With food assistance funding shrinking, we’re seeing more local families needing help than ever before,” said Elora Irby, Community Outreach Assistant with Community Action Center. “The Great Food Fight gives businesses a fun, meaningful way to make a difference right here at home.”
Participating businesses will receive a playbook, social media resources, and promotional materials. Businesses can register here or contact Heidi Hughes at heidih@cacwhitman.org.
