Southern Idaho Couple Sentenced After Investigators Seize 24 Pounds of Meth in Federal Drug Case

BOISE, ID — A Caldwell couple has been sentenced to lengthy federal prison terms after investigators uncovered more than 24 pounds of methamphetamine linked to their distribution operation, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho.

Ray Gordon Capistrant, 57, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison, while Patricia Lynn Webber, also known as Patricia Lynn Capistrant, 56, received a 70-month sentence. Both were convicted of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court records, Idaho State Police began investigating the pair in December 2024 after receiving information that they were distributing methamphetamine in the Treasure Valley. Between December 2024 and January 2025, a confidential source purchased methamphetamine from Webber on four separate occasions at the couple’s shared residence. Capistrant was present during two of those transactions.

Investigators executed a search warrant on Feb. 8, 2025, at the home and at a rental vehicle the couple had reportedly used for drug-related travel to Arizona. In the trunk of that vehicle, officers discovered 22 heat-sealed bags containing a combined 9,847.7 grams of methamphetamine. Additional drugs, scales, plastic bags, and other paraphernalia were found inside the residence.

In total, authorities seized 10,839.55 grams — roughly 24 pounds — of methamphetamine they say the couple intended to distribute.

The case was prosecuted by a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney funded through the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, which supports multi-agency drug enforcement operations.

U.S. Attorney Bart Davis commended the Idaho State Police for their role in the investigation.
