OLYMPIA, WA – There’s an online meeting on Thursday afternoon to update the public about the Palouse to Cascades Trail.
The Washington State Parks Department is hosting the session about the state’s longest trail. It is a non-contiguous 251-mile trail that stretches from the North Bend area in the Cascades to the Idaho border near Tekoa. The Palouse to Cascades Trail uses the old Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific rail lines, which quit operating in 1984.
Thursday’s online presentation will update the public about this year’s trail projects and what’s planned for 2026. The webinar is from 2:00 to 3:30, and attendees must register in advance here https://events.gcc.teams.microsoft.com/event/1d2d0ffb-7c28-4ca9-ae88-cfabda0fc2b6@11d0e217-264e-400a-8ba0-57dcc127d72d/registration
