PULLMAN, WA – The City of Pullman Fire Department will conduct a live fire training exercise on the West edge of town on Saturday.
Firefighters will train while they burn down the small house that’s next to the city’s wastewater treatment plant on Guy Street. The live-fire training is scheduled for Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 6:00 p.m.
The department has received Washington State Department of Ecology and city approval for the burn. Volunteer Firefighters from the City of Moscow and Whitman County Fire Districts 12 and 4 from Pullman and Palouse will also take part in the exercise. City officials are asking residents to avoid Guy Street on Saturday near the wastewater treatment plant.
