WASHTUCNA, WA – A 24-year-old Dayton man died in a crash involving a semi West of Washtucna on State Route 26 Thursday morning.
The Washington State Patrol reports that the crash occurred around 11:00 about 6 miles West of town. Troopers say Matthew Cunnington was driving a pickup Southbound on Marcellus Road at SR26 when he failed to stop at the highway at hit Westbound semi.
Cunnington died at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured. The crash closed SR26 for several hours Thursday.
